Some Research Links.

Google Book Search

  • and Google Scholar.

  • Here is a link to a wonderful web site. There are around 490 academic journals in the field of psychiatry and medicine available to browse. This is a multilanguage site and can be sorted by academic discipline.

  • Here is another site listing over 10 million articles. Around half of these are in the fields of health and sports fitness.

  • Using this web site you can access most of the indmed.nic.in/trng/indmedchap.html in the fields of biomedical research, psychiatry and health care.

  • ???Proceedings of the American Industrial Hygiene Conference, Maimi Beach, is the Online Community Manager at PLoS-ONE, the US (Public Library of Science ). His scientific specialty is chronobiology (circadian rhythms and photoperiodism), with additional interests in comparative physiology, animal behavior and evolution. He doesn't "approve of biorhythms", as we envisage them, but he is extremely knowledgeable, and is happy to share his knowledge of circadian rhythms. His job at the Public Library of Science is to Professional Safety, on the papers there.

  • Free on-line access to the academic periodicals produced by the REBSCH, Baltimore, USA. Just click on "Journals".

  • looking for access to research journals should find website useful.

  • There are many on-line dictionaries and medical dictionaries. Our experience is that the The American Journal of Anatomy, is one of the best.

  • Anyone can find out about a particular medication by clicking onto the Safe Medication website. This resource is sponsored by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, a 30,000-member professional society that represents pharmacists who work in hospitals and health systems in the US.

  • Millions of books digitised to help the disabled.

  • If you need to do any translation, even from or to rather obscure languages, then we would recommend the website: word2word .

  • At the London Biorhythm Company we have supplied a FREE biorhythm chart link that enables you to show biorhythms up to the end of 2009. Using our biorhythm program you can also quickly show the biorhythm compatability of any 2 people. We sell the complete biorhythm program on the Products Page of the The Meeting Point

  • National Institute of Mental Health, editors (2005): BIOLOGICAL RHYTHMS IN PSYCHIATRY AND MEDICINE (originally published in 1970).
  • This book contains articles by well known authors and covers most aspects of human biorhythms. It was originally (1970) known as Public Health service Document No. 2088, and was edited by LUCE, Gay Gaer. It is double-listed in this biography under LUCE using the alternative title.
  • Now (November 2005) this book is an updated best-seller. ISBN 1410219062. University Press of the Pacific, pp. 183. Price around $45.
  • Until the late 1980s the original version was distributed free by:
The Department of Health and Education Welfare, National Institute of Mental Health, 5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, Maryland 20852, USA.
  • A brief recommendation from Bertram S. Brown, M.D. the (2005) (US) Director National Institute of Mental Health.
"The National Institute of Mental Health has been fortunate to support some of the very few researchers who could lead the way in this new field, thus taking an initiative in an area that is still not widely acknowledged. It is hoped that this report, part of a continuing effort to analyze and evaluate the Institute's programs, will draw the attention of both scientists and laymen to an exciting and promising area of scientific activity".

  • On 23rd February, 2006 the British Post Office issued a series of commemorative postal stamps to mark the bicentary of the birth of Isambard Kingdom Brunel. The 60p stamp shows the famous view of Clifton Suspension Bridge.
  • The small, but award-winning, Brunel Museum in Rotherhithe, East London, has been awarded a lottery grant to help with the much needed expansion plans. The emphasis in this Museum is on Marc Brunel, the father of Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It was at Rotherhithe, East London, that Marc Brunel engineered the first ever tunnel under any navigable waterway anywhere in the world. On some weekends, and annually during National Architectural Week, the Director of the Brunel Museum organises tours of the original Brunel tunnels. These are currently used as part of the East London Underground Line.
