  • The London Intervarsity Club's

    Practical Conservation Group.
Director Profiles continued from the Age Link profile on www.jacynthacrawley.com.

Jacyntha Crawley founded the London IVC Conservation group before the word "conservation" became ubiquitous! Members of London IVC's (the Intervarsity Club's) Practical Conservation Group have volunteered from Fair Isle to Guernsey, and numerous places in between. Fair Isle is the most northerly inhabited island in the British Isles, and was the first " Fair Trade island " in Britain. Over the years London IVC volunteers have gained many practical skills, and much insight into life!

An off-shoot of the London IVC conservation group

is that Dave Lawrence, tel: 07957 577355 or 020 8444 6285, began his conservation "career" as a very keen London IVC volunteer, and now professionally manages 3 nature reserves in North and North West London. One, in Belsize Park has been nominated for " Local Nature Reserve Status". The Jenny Wood Nature Reserve, where most London IVC volunteers now help, is a small, but exceptional, nature reserve in a built up, and rather socially deprived area of London. Please contact Dave Lawrence, if you want to volunteer at any of the reserves in North London. This does NOT have to be a regular commitment: help on an occasional basis is also greatly appreciated.

Learn to speak in Public in a

    Supportive Environment.

Jacyntha Crawley is an Advanced Toastmaster (ATM) Bronze. You can forget any jokes about being a 'money machine': Jacyntha has heard them before!! As a member of the Athenian Speakers Club, the Toastmaster s club in Hammersmith, West London, Jacyntha practices public speaking regularly. She has also served as the Hon. Secretary. The Athenian Speakers Club meets weekly, and the club is always expanding as members set up new local groups of "Toastmaster s". At all Toastmaster Clubs, guests are very welcome, free of charge. Just turn up to find out more about Toastmaster s. Members of the Athenian Speakers Club have won more national and international awards than any other Toastmaster s Club in the UK, yet, for many Athenians, English is not their first language! Jacyntha believes that the standard of public speaking and enterprise at the Athenian Speakers Club is truly phenomenal.

  • Toastmaster s International is a worldwide grouping of thousands of local public speaking clubs. New members and guests are always welcomed at Toastmaster s clubs, and you will find established members extremely supportive.

  • Enterprising "Athenians" and other Toastmasters.

  • The London International Speaking Professionals: (LISP). Ian Harrison is the President of LISP, and has been an "Athenian", then a founder member, and a past-President of " Riverside Communicators ", the Toastmaster s group in Twickenham, West London.
  • Maya Driscoll (Ki-author), Kate Jacobsson and Colin Fu are involved with www.WhingeIt.com ", a site for personal development.
  • Originally from Sweden, mulit-lingual and very widely travelled, Kate Jacobsson has a video production company.
Rod Sloane began his speaking career as a drop-in member of Athenian Speakers Club. He then went on to win awards for his performances, and to help found the Trojan Speakers Club in Ealing, West London, and 25, a Toastmasters Club which originally met on the set of the "Coronation Street" UK soap opera.
  • Phil Hulme, a "past-Athenian", now living outside London, is the web host for this site, and our other biorhythm related web sites. At www.webhealer.net they host web space for the CROC (concerned residents) website and the Athenian Speakers Club and other Toastmaster groups.
  • Calum Coburn, another past-President of Athenian Speakers Club, now runs The Negociation Academy (for Business Leadership).
  • Tony Lazar is a Cognitive Therapist and Hypnotherapist. As well as being "an Athenian", he is also a member of West London Speakers and of Harrovians, based in Harrow, Middlesex.
  • New York, USA: Julia Willebrand, a serious "Green Party" activist stood for the post of Comptroller of New York State. Web link explains exactly what the Comptroller does! Julia has also set up at least one Toastmaster group in the USA.

  • An expanded list of articles by Jacyntha Crawley is in the London Biorhythm Company 's Biorhythm Bibliography.
  • In 2006 Jacyntha Crawley had the "interesting experience" of almost intergrating biorhythms "into mainstream toothpaste"!!! This was not something she had ever expected to be doing!
  • An employee of an extremely high-powered London advertising agency felt that, as it emerged from the squeezed tube, the coloured curves in the (branded) toothpaste were visually similar to the curves on a biorhythm chart! This was the image the advertising agency wanted to work with! Months went by, there was experimentation, and much discussion! Currently the project is "on hold"!, but it's existence meant that:
  • Jacyntha realised that no-one ever knows exactly what life will throw up next!
  • The advertising agency was behind the publication of a number of articles on biorhythms.
  • Jacyntha made useful contacts within the media. One of the articles written during this period forms the basis of the Biorhythm Compatability Page of the London Biorhythm Company website.

  • Locally, Jacyntha Crawley is the Membership Secretary of The Richmond Society, and is a strong supporter of Richmond Trees, organised by John Bruce Cairns and of CROC, the "self-help" group for (bullied or) concerned residents.

  • Independent Books by other members of the Athenians Speakers Club.

Rod Sloane runs the Solicitors Institute . He has published 121 Marketing Ways to Grow Your Small Business. Rod speaks to local business organisations, and is a competition winning speaker. He also helped found Trojan Speakers Club in Ealing, West London, and then set up the Toastmaster s group Manchester Orators. Originally, Manchester Orators met on the actual set of the hit British TV soap opera Coronation Street .

www.ebookpremier.com is a web site run by Colin Fu, a past-President of the Athenian Speakers Club. At www.ebookpremier.com they try to help those who want to become online entrepreneurs. • When you are right ... Never, ever "give up"!
The London Biorhythm Company, Ki Publishing and Batik Cards, have a long running complaint against Royal Mail Post Office Boxes. At the London Biorhythm Company , at Ki Publishing and at Batik Cards , we have a genuine complaint in the way that biorhythm representatives have been continually ignored by the Royal Mail Post Office Boxes. This is why the London Biorhythm Company , Ki Publishing and Batik Cards are in dispute with Royal Mail Post Office Boxes. The London Biorhythm Company rented a P.O. Box from Royal Mail Post Office Boxes, and had always paid promptly and annually in advance. In August 2006 Royal Mail Post Office Boxes staff intercepted, and by their own admission, pulped our incoming mail. At the London Biorhythm Company , Ki Publishing and Batik Cards , we complained politely; then complained and requested an apology. Polite complaint 1, and polite complaint 2, having been disdainfully ignored, we upped the stakes to complaint 3, in which the London Biorhythm Company , Ki Publishing and Batik Cards additionally requested a re-instatement of full service, after all the London Biorhythm Company had fully paid-up for this service, and at the London Biorhythm Company we had always given the counter staff chocolates at Christmas! Now, at the London Biorhythm Company , at Ki Publishing and at Batik Cards , we have lost patience. Our genuine complaints are routinely, and deliberately, ignored. Polite complaints to the Royal Mail Post Office Boxes got us nowhere, so, the London Biorhythm Company , Ki Publishing and Batik Cards are now 'going for' maximum media coverage, and full compensation for, the disruption of service to the London Biorhythm Company , to Ki Publishing and to Batik Cards ; and the loss of the London Biorhythm Company 's, Ki Publishing's and Batik Cards 's efficient image.
At the London Biorhythm Company we recommend that you never use the website Oxfam . Once you click onto it, it is almost impossible to get rid of it from your computer!
